Our school has brought together a team of the best teachers with experience in teaching Serbian to foreign students.

Noticeable results in just 3 months

After just 4 lessons, you’ll be able to talk about yourself and keep a simple conversation going. After 3 months, you’ll start feeling confident communicating on the street, in shops, and in cafés.

The program is designed specifically for learning Serbian as a foreign language

We use adapted learning materials and clear explanations that make even complex grammar easy to understand. By comparing language structures and using real-life examples, students quickly grasp the logic of Serbian and start using it in real communication.

A strong focus on speaking practice

From the very first lesson, we work on correct pronunciation and place a strong emphasis on speaking, dedicating most of the class time to active communication. In addition, we run up to five conversation clubs per week on a variety of topics.

More than just language: culture, history, and community

We are "dođoši" ourselves and understand the challenges immigrants face. With us, you won’t just learn the language — you’ll find new friends and truly integrate into the local environment through lectures on Serbian history and mentality, as well as cultural excursions.

Serbian in SmartLab

Access to the online course “Ja govorim srpski”

In addition to offline classes, our school offers an online course that you get free access to. It mirrors the main learning program and is enriched with interactive exercises to help reinforce the material.

This allows you to continue learning Serbian even when you can’t physically attend classes (for example, if you’re on vacation or feeling unwell). You can learn more about the course here.

Lectures, excursions, and a library

To start living happily and fully in a new country, it’s important to understand its history, culture, and mindset. That’s why we organize lectures where you can learn slang and regional differences across Serbia, and understand what various graffiti on the walls really mean.

We also go on excursions to cities and landmark locations, such as Subotica or the monasteries of Fruška Gora.

In addition to regular classes, we organize conversation club sessions where students practice speaking in a safe and supportive environment.

Each club is focused on developing a specific skill. For example, we watch TV series to improve listening comprehension, read books to expand vocabulary, and role-play real-life situations (at the bank, the police station) to better handle everyday tasks.

Five or more conversation clubs every week

Learning doesn’t end after the lesson. To make sure the language doesn’t stay only in textbooks, we strive to show it as living and real every day.

On our social media — Instagram and Telegram — we share small pieces of everyday Serbian life: from funny memes and everyday expressions to interesting cultural insights and traditions. It’s an easy and unobtrusive way to feel closer to the language, hear how it truly sounds, and see how it’s used in real-life situations.

Daily immersion in language and culture

2 classes per week in mini-groups of up to 6 students

Thanks to the mini-group format, classes take place in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, and the teacher is able to give attention to each student. We strive to make lessons not only goal-oriented, but also an engaging and enjoyable learning journey.

Miodrag Milikić

He studied at universities in Novi Sad and Banja Luka. He has been teaching Serbian for over 10 years and holds a licensed tour guide certificate.

Bojana Tomić

She has over 15 years of experience in translation and over 5 years in teaching.

Marija Đorđević

Teacher and Author of the Online Course Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Department of Language and Literature and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree.

Peđa Kandić

He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Sarajevo. He has been teaching Serbian to for the past year and a half.

Gordana Ninković

Gordana is a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad with four years of experience teaching Serbian as a foreign language. Her unique background  allows her to easily connect with students.

Larisa Safjanova

For many years, she has worked as a translator in major Serbian companies, building bridges between cultures while teaching the Serbian language.

Milica Jelisavčić

For over 10 years, she has been deeply engaged in studying three languages: Serbian, English, and Russian. In Milica’s classes, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the language.

Ognjen Glamočić

He has been teaching the Serbian language for five years. Ognen knows how to make the learning process engaging and help students quickly adapt to a new language environment.

Smiljana Savanović

For the past three years, she has been helping students not only start speaking Serbian, but also see the living history and traditions behind the language. Her goal is to make learning Serbian an engaging journey into Serbian culture.

Marina Radonjić

Marina is a student of philology in Novi Sad. For the past two years, she has been helping students master the Serbian language.

She is currently pursuing a master’s degree, loves teaching, and knows how to find an individual approach to each student. Marijana makes learning Serbian easy and enjoyable!
